Taeun Chang, M.D. (1971–2022)

Taeun (Tae) Chang, M.D., spent her entire career at Children’s National. Her pioneering work improved outcomes for infants with brain and nervous system conditions. It included creation of the hospital’s neonatal neurocritical care service. This program, a model for many others, played a key role in elevating our newborn care and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic.

Dr. Chang discussed her leadership in care that combined neonatology and neurology in a 2021 video about the hospital’s follow the leader campaign.
