About NEXT

We are committed to making sure our community's kids receive the care they need to thrive. We fundraise and donate to the hospital. We fuel pediatric discoveries and innovative programs and support world-class care. We host fun volunteer and networking events.

Connect for patient playdates and with like-minded professionals through activities such as collecting supplies for patients entering foster care or helping equip a new music therapist at the hospital.

How did you become involved in NEXT and why is it important to support Children’s National?

Growing up in D.C., I had many friends and family treated at and saved by Children’s National. When I was looking to give back to my local community, Children’s was the first place I thought of and NEXT was the perfect fit. NEXT provides young professionals an opportunity to develop their philanthropic skills, from fundraising dollars to volunteering time, all to benefit children.

What do you get out of being involved with NEXT?

NEXT provides an opportunity for me to support my community, be creative and engage with like-minded professionals who are passionate about advancing pediatric health. It feels good knowing our efforts are helping patients and their families through what is most likely the scariest time of their lives. I have also learned that no donation is too small. Little gestures can go a long way – making even one kid smile matters.

How long have you been a part of NEXT?

I have been a part of NEXT since 2016.

What is your role as co-chair?

My role is to create new opportunities for NEXT members to support Children’s National and grow into the next generation of philanthropists.

Why are you involved with NEXT?

As a resident of D.C., I am involved in NEXT to support and raise money for families in need, who may not otherwise have access to a top-tier medical system.

How long have you been a part of NEXT?

I have been actively involved since 2016.

Why is it important to support Children’s National?

NEXT represents the next generation of philanthropy for Children’s National. It is our job to ensure the future strength of such a vital D.C. organization by cultivating and educating future philanthropists.

What is your role as co-chair?

As co-chairs, it is our job to help introduce new members to the hospital, organize events and get-togethers (such as Dancing After Dark) and act as the liaison between the hospital foundation and our NEXT community.
